Landscape Technology Group is a locally owned corporate business, open in Gypsum since 1998. We are a design/build landscape company with a retail nursery and garden center. Our focus is on landscaping, nursery stock, and other garden-related materials. Our growth depends on repeat customers who rely on a combination of quality workmanship, products, and services they receive from our employees, as well as the satisfaction they get from their overall experience with us. We consider our employees our most important asset, and this is what we expect from you: Physical Work environment
You will work mainly outdoors in all types of weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, rain and snow. Attire appropriate for weather conditions is your responsibility. Your job is physical, and requires frequent bending, grabbing and lifting. You will be on your feet all day, standing and walking, and throughout you need to be both pleasant and energetic. NOTE: You will be expected to be able to lift at least a five-gallon shrub/tree and a 3 cu. ft. bag of soil and/or mulch (approx. 50 lb.) without assistance.

Our customer’s time is valuable to them and the help they receive from our staff should be nothing less than immediate and excellent.
Irrigation Technician Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in landscape maintenance and or construction
- Valid US drivers license with a good driving record
- Fluent in English / Some Spanish helpful
- Able to work alone
- Accurate Time Keeping
- Look out for the best interest of client and LTG
- Willing to do other tasks as needed for company
- Present well to client-physically/verbally
- Be responsible for maintaining residential and commercial Irrigation Systems
- Working Knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems
- Start-Up in Spring, turn on in house and backflow preventer
- Blow out in Fall, Where to hook up a compressor, monitor zones as they blow out, and what to look for.
- Able to run different types of irrigation Clocks
- Able to add or extend zones wire valves and clocks
- Able to change or fix irrigation heads, repair broken pipe, Both PVC and Poly.
- Know the difference between a spray head and a rotor
- Know the difference between 1804, 1806, and 1812
- Able to troubleshoot irrigation systems
- Scenario 1. I have a yellow spot in my lawn, what steps do you take?
- Answer: 1. Run irrigation to check coverage and see if it is water-related. If not 2. Ask the client about the family dog.
- Scenario 2, I have an irrigation system with a zone that will not turn off, What could it be?
- Answer: 1. Something caught in the valve, 2. The solenoid is not working properly needs to be replaced. 3. The irrigation clock is crossed wired.
- Scenario 3. I have an irrigation system that most all zones are working great but one zone, the last 3 heads on the zone are not popping up all the way, what could it be?
- Answer: 1. A broken pipe in that zone. 2. Debris in a pipe, upstream from those three heads. 3. Flow control of the valve could be reduced or turned down. 4. Too many heads on that one zone.
- Scenario 1. I have a yellow spot in my lawn, what steps do you take?
- Since you have access to client’s homes, would you be willing to undergo a background check?
